Christine Byers, a crime reporter for the St. Louis Post-Dispatch, indicated on twitter late last night that police sources tell her that there are plenty of witnesses that corroborate cop’s version of the story of what happened between him and Michael Brown:

If this is true and I’m betting it is, then what should happen is that Darren Wilson should go back on active duty once this investigation is over. And this will infuriate those wanting their pound of flesh, no matter whether Wilson is innocent or not, and there will likely be more riots and looting.
