Richard Avedon's Ode To France
His new book explores the photographer's longtime love for the country.
Most of us know Richard Avedon first photographing Christian Dior's iconic New Look, but the photographer quickly surpassed this legendary milestone and went on to create an abundance of emblematic fashion photos and character-revealing portraits through his lens. While Avedon ultimately redefined America's image of style, beauty, and culture, he had a longtime love for France, that's fully showcased in his new book Avedon's France: Old World, New Look. See some of the stunning highlights from the tome below.
