Truck revenue has been lagging inflation since the inception of deregulation, although it now appears to be following inflation's rate of growth. After a spike in bankruptcies during the last recession, the number of fleets going out of business has fallen dramatically. Spot rates have jumped in the last two years, a good sign for revenue in general.
