To play a prank on her father, a smart little girl used the Linux SSH tool to take control of his computer, made it talk to him and closed down the programs he was working on – with her Raspberry Pi computer. She had the permission from her mother for the ‘hack’…
Here are some Linux shell commands she used:
#open a shell using their username and ip (you’ll be asked for a password)
ssh username@ip
#who will show the users logged onto that machine
who
#top will show processes running on their computer
top
#top -o mem will show processes using the most memory first
top -o mem
#now kill the process with the id you got from using the top command
kill -9 (process id)

Not really hacking into her dad’s Mac.. What this clever girl has demonstrated is the extreme importance of having secure passwords.
You do have a massive point but it is basic hacking after all “This Clever Girl” did get into her dad’s Mac but the only reason she got in is because she already had the password, obviously this would be very different if it was hacking… say, a friend and you don’t have there password you would have to go through the process of finding that person the easy way of going about that is asking to use their computer and ask for the password if they have one but if they don’t give you the password you would have to find out yourself.
Just imagine..she knows that much at that age..Wait until she is older.

i think even if she had the password, thats still impresive.
I’m pretty certain hacking is not knowing someons password and the SSH controlling their computer.
