Ikea introduced furniture that can charge your phone through the Qi wireless charging standard back in 2015. Now, that Apple is adopting Qi in its latest iPhone 8 and iPhone X models, Ikea is piggybacking on the anticipated surge in popularity with some witty ads that play off a few of Apple’s most well-known phrases. Essentially, Apple’s “This changes everything” mantra has become the “This charges everything” ad campaign, while “Think different” is now “Link different.”

Ikea’s wireless charging appliances include floor lamps, table lamps, and nightstands with embedded charging pads. There are also separate single and triple charging pads if you prefer to place them wherever you want. The campaign was made in partnership with the ad agency ACNE. “IKEA has been very progressive with wireless charging, and we are thrilled that new iPhone owners finally can make use of one of the most powerful lamps we’ve ever made,” said Morten Kjær, creative director at IKEA Creative Hub.

It’s clever timing: new owners of the latest iPhones will probably be looking for Qi chargers right about now, given the iPhone 8 devices are available to purchase today. It’s also a reminder of Apple’s ability to make nascent technology popular.
