Passions and Engagements: {Enzymes!}
This is one of the topics we learned about that interested me. I never knew how essential enzymes are to our body, and how certain factors affect enzyme efficiency. In the lab pictured,we modeled the efficiency of enzymes by using toothpicks and temperature variables. http://cdn.flipboard.com/uploads/Avatar/78ab7b026f32818cf36213bc04de30e42bae322b.jpg

Passion and Engagement: {Scientific Thinking}
I also became engaged when we learned the way a scientist thinks. In "Herb,Refining Observations" we learned to be more descriptive and specific with our observations. This made me "think like a scientist".Passion and Engagement: {Science Laboratory Skills}. One thing I found engaging was the labs! Especially the yeast lab. I loved being able to do hands on experiments and using lab equipment,such as beakers and graduated cylinders. Having the freedom to choose our sugar sources in the lab and watching the yeast grow was an added bonus in this lab.
