Paul Pierce has agreed to a three-year contract worth approximately $10.5 million with the Los Angeles Clippers, league sources told Yahoo Sports.

The deal includes a team option for the third season, sources said.

The agreement reunites Pierce with Clippers coach Doc Rivers, who coached him when the Boston Celtics won the 2008 championship and reached the NBA Finals again in 2010.

Pierce, 37, spent last season with the Washington Wizards, averaging 11.9 points and four rebounds in 73 games. He further distinguished himself with his late-game shooting in a second-round playoff series against the Atlanta Hawks.

Pierce grew up in Los Angeles and played at Inglewood High School.
