Simeon Coxe continues to keep the Silver Apples going, and is currently on tour in Europe. He’ll be back for Silver Apples dates in North America this fall, including two in the NYC area: Market Hotel on November 2 with Forma, and Jersey City’s WFMU Monty Hall on November 5. Tickets for both of those shows are on sale now. All dates are listed below.

In other news, Silver Apples are to be featured on a new compilation, I Said No Doctors!, due out January 20, 2017 via Dymaxion Groove that also includes tracks by Dan Deacon, Jad Fair, David Grubb (Gastr-del Sol), and other “groundbreaking artists of current and past decades who have redefined sound by creating and destroying musical instruments to fit a specific sonic character and method of music-making.” Preorders are available.

Coxe also has another project, Amphibian Lark, which is a collaboration with singer and songwriter Lydia LaVert. (Coxe provides “electronic grooves and rhythms.”) You can listen to a couple of their songs below as well. There is also a new Silver Apples album — the first in nearly 20 years — in the works, details still TBA. Silver Apples’ website does say to look out for new song and video “The Mist” soon via Dymaxion. Stay tuned.
