ANN ARBOR, Mich. -- Michigan guard Caris LeVert has returned to action after having surgery for a stress fracture in his foot in May.

Coach John Beilein said Wednesday that LeVert started playing last week, but he's not quite himself yet as he continues to work to get into game shape.

LeVert was one of the nation's most improved players as a sophomore, and the Big Ten champions may depend on him even more next season. Michigan lost Nik Stauskas, Glenn Robinson III and Mitch McGary early to the NBA.

LeVert averaged 12.9 points and shot 41 percent from 3-point range last season.
