Seeing a penis online every 14 minutes while playing Uno isn't 'funny'

Polygon ran an extensive story about the second-generation of Xbox Live, but within that story is a tidbit about enforcement. During the Xbox 360 days there was a webcam that could be used to transmit a video feed from your living room as you played, and god forbid you were a woman online.

"One of the funny things that came out of it ... we're meeting with the Xbox Live enforcement team, and [there was] a woman on the team who's in her early 20s," ATG Account Manager Sam Charchian said. "She was explaining that she spends a good part of her week going into Uno games with the camera on and basically just waiting for dudes who will see a woman playing Uno with her camera on and expose themselves."

Just to put this in perspective, it was someone's job to attempt to play a game with a webcam on, and it turned into a parade of exposed penises. She told Charchian that it took, on average, around 14 minutes before seeing a penis.

"I mean, she would sit on there and just ban these guys when she ran into them, but apparently it was a serious problem. Part of what makes it extra sad is that it's Uno, which you think would be a family-friendly game for people to play."

This is an unfortunate way to talk about a very serious problem with online safety, and there could certainly be more done. I'm not sure "funny" is a good description in this case.
