Geno Smith runs out of the back of the end zone because of Jets curse

There’s something about wearing a New York Jets uniform. It’s a curse, we tell you! And it struck again Saturday night.

Mark Sanchez, he of butt-fumble infamy, was struck by the curse vs. the Giants, when Rex Ryan made the questionable decision to play Sanchez in the fourth quarter. Shortly thereafter Sanchez injured his throwing shoulder on a hard hit, because of course. So there was that — obviously a big deal.

Not as a big a deal — but certainly evidence of the curse — was rookie starter Geno Smith earlier in the game doing his best Dan Orlovsky impression to draw a safety. This happened:

Was it as egregious as Orlovsky’s dopey moment? No.

Was it as embarrassing as the butt-fumble? Hahahaha! No!

But it was a total Jets moment in its own right.
