This Is the Spring Fashion Trend You Need to Know About Right Now

Girly girls everywhere can pop bottles and rejoice because this year is going to be swathed in their favorite color.

New York Fashion Week is fully underway and lots of Fall 2017 trends are surfacing—Yellow! Stripes! Americana!—but UGH, fall is an awfully long ways away. Like, six months in the future, which feels like six years. In this instant-gratification world we live in, we want to shop now for, um, right now. Which means it’s time to think SPRING! And guess what’s hot-hot-hot this spring? All things pink.

That’s right, the prayers of girly girls everywhere have been answered and pink—from neons and fuschias to dusty roses and muted blushes—is not only back, but it’s being declared the unofficial color of the year. Which means we can finally break out all of that pink we’ve been hoarding for years and actually be on trend while rocking it everywhere from the grocery store to the nightclub. Not that we need fashion critics to tell us what to do, but if we’re being honest, there has always been something a little juvenile about our collective favorite color. But no more. The fashion gods have spoken (and so have red-carpet-bound celebrities!) and they’ve finally sided with us pink-obsessives, realizing what we’ve all long known—that everyone just looks prettier in pink. Big name brands like Balenciaga, Celine and Chanel have embraced the hue, and while that's good and well, it's also really expensive. So we've taken the liberty of boiling the trend down to more shoppable (Read: Cheaper!) looks that you can wear now through the end of the year. Happy shopping, sweet peas!
