Donald Trump's campaign has launched a nightly news show on Facebook as the election race enters the final straight.

Airing on the candidate’s Facebook page every night at 6.30pm ET via Facebook Live, the campaign says it is an attempt to counter the "left-wing media bias".

However, it will also fuel speculation that the Republican nominee is considering launching a new anti-establishment television network called Trump TV if he loses the presidential election.

According to reports, his son-in-law and close adviser Jared Kushner, who owns the New York Observer, has made an initial approach to investors.

Mr Trump's campaign has vigorously denied any such plans.

"We all know how strong the left-wing media bias is. This is us delivering our message to voters," Boris Epshteyn, a senior adviser to the campaign, told Wired

"It has nothing to do with Trump TV. It’s about using 21st century technology and communication in a way that’s effective."

The new show, which was launched on Monday night, will be presented by Mr Epshteyn and another adviser Cliff Sims, as well as The Blaze commentator Tomi Lahren.  It will stream Mr Trump’s rallies each night along with commentary before and after the event.

The first show, featuring an interview with campaign manager Kellyanne Conway and adviser Jason Miller, racked up 1.1 million views in two hours and was shared almost 30,000 times.

"This race is not over... Let me just say unequivocally: We will win," Ms Conway said.

The new show follows the campaign's coverage of the last presidential debate last week when they partnered with a conservative live-streaming site called Right Side Broadcasting to broadcast the event and commentary.

Mr Trump has frequently attacked the media for its coverage of the election campaign. At a rally in St. Augustine, Florida, on Monday night, he said: “The media isn’t just against me, they’re against all of you.”
