This is one of my favorite guilty pleasures -- an occasional splurge when I need something honest. I never seem to get tired of it. I first had it in Chinatown in Washington, D.C. It seemed so exotic all those years ago, served on a footed stainless steel serving dish with a domed lid. Restaurant visits were rare for my family of six, and that made me cherish every trip to Chinatown even more.
