NBA's Clippers to hold Filipino Heritage Night on December 6

The Los Angeles Clippers will hold Filipino Heritage Night when it battles with New Orleans Pelicans on December 6.

The event will include a half-time performance of Kayamanan ng Lahi Philippine Folks Arts, a non-profit organization based in Los Angeles dedicated to the promotion of Philippine culture through dance and music.

A meet and greet with the Clippers Spirit Dance Team will also be held as part of the festivities. Commemorative heritage shirts will be distributed to Filipino fans.

The Clippers began holding Filipino Heritage Night in 2009 at the urging of former NBA player Raymond Townsend, the first Filipino-American in the league who played for the Golden State Warriors and the Indiana Pacers in the '80s.
