A federal judge agreed to release Coast Guard Lt. Christopher Hasson after prosecutors failed to meet the standards to prove he was plotting terror attacks or a political assassination, Washington Post justice reporter Justin Jouvenal tweeted Thursday.

The white nationalist was uncovered to have a hit list of Democrats and Supreme Court justices as well as an arsenal of weapons and ammunition. He was arrested outside of Washington, DC. Upon search of his computer, investigators found that he had researched addresses of justices and the best gun to kill African-Americans.

Hasson was being held until prosecutors could gather enough information to file terror charges. Clearly, they failed in that respect.
