Get set for EPR Electronic Patient Records (EPR) are set to change how everyone in the Trust works and preparations for its introduction are now truly under way. It’s easy to think of EPR as simply a computer system that takes our current paper-based health records and stores them digitally. In reality, EPR will bring about a step-change in how we work. This system will not only help us to treat patients more effectively by giving healthcare staff easier access to up-to-date information, it will also use this information to improve our care, giving us the tools we need to be safer and more efficient. Over the coming months, the EPR team will be previewing the system with teams across the Trust and telling you the ways it could help you in your work.
