Rocket League's basketball mode tips off in April

Free update comes one shining moment after March Madness

The basketball mode that Rocket League teased nearly three weeks ago will arrive in time for the NBA playoffs, not March Madness as previously hinted.

It's called Dunk House, and Rocket League's Twitter account said the free update will launch in April. Developer Psyonix included a .gif showing just how the game's cars will play basketball instead of soccer.

It appears cars will be able to drive up the "net" to get airborne, but being agile with the jump button out on the rest of the court will be key in this variant.

Rocket League is available on PlayStation 4, Windows PC and Xbox One. earlier this month, Microsoft announced it would be opening the Xbox One to cross-platform multiplayer, with Rocket League as the first game to do so.
