Migrants courses in Helsinki are not only theory We know in Helsinki what it means to educate migrants. Finland received 32500 new migrants in 2015, and the country has taken 2078 refugees from Greece and Italy, which is 93,9 % of the quota agreed in the EU inĀ 2015. A few EU countries don't care about the agreement and don't receive migrants at all. State, municipalities and institutions in Finland do what they can to educate newly-arrived migrants. Varia vocational college is the biggest educator of newly-arrived migrants in Helsinki metropolitan area. Varia experts also want to share their skills to teacher colleagues around Europe. The first #ErasmusPlus course about "ICT in teaching newly-arrived migrants" was organised in Helsinki in April 2017. The 21 participants came from Italy, and they learned about the methods and practices of teaching migrants. The course was organised in collaboration of Varia and the Finnish course provider Euneos. The role of Euneos is to offer expertise in pedagogic use of tablets and smartphones both in children's and adults' education. The next Migrants course will take place in Helsinki 13-19 May 2018, more in https://www.euneoscourses.eu/?p=1425.
