Conarte Library – Interior Design Concept by Anagrama

An outstanding interior and furniture design project by Anagrama for Conarte Library.

Mexican studio Anagrama is best known for their sophisticated graphic design and branding projects. Some of their projects have been featured on WE AND THE COLOR. This time I can show you something completely different! Anagrame was commissioned to create a very special furniture and interior design concept for Conarte Library.

The Conarte Library is known as the council for culture and art in the city of Monterrey, Mexico. The library stimulates artistic expression. In addition they support the preservation and enrichment of culture.

Anagrama’s furniture and interior design proposal creates a space that gives value to the experience of reading, it “literally” wraps the reader in. Their task included the development of an interior design concept for the bookshop and the library itself. Besides their usual standard function, The bookshelves appear like a wooden dome, which plays with the visual perspective of this space. A special color gradient finish gives some extra depth to this construction. The domed shape found in the back wall acts like a vanishing point of the bookshelf construction. It is creating a perfect balance between color, space, light, and the perspective view.
