Report: Beyoncé and Jay Z's Joint Album Is Finished

  /  05.23.2016

Beyoncé and Jay Z’s secret joint album is reportedly complete. After years of rumors, Page Six reports that the album is now finished.

According to the report, the effort is slated to drop as a TIDAL exclusive “very soon.” An insider said that it’s the couple’s way of addressing rumors. “Jay and Beyoncé were never going to do an interview to address all the questions that came up after LEMONADE,” the source explained. “It’s more their style to respond through music.”

Although there has yet to be official confirmation from Queen Bey or Young Hov, talks surrounding this effort have been around since at least 2014, when DJ Skee said that it was on the way.

Then, in February of this year, producer Detail—who worked with Jay and Bey on “Drunk in Love”—revealed that the project was being crafted. “I’m working with a couple of new projects that I don’t want to unveil, and then me and Beyoncé and Jay Z are actually doing something together this year,” he said. “When you think of Jay and Bey together, you think ‘album.’ You should already know.”

It’s unknown if the album will address their relationship rumors. However, infidelity was a major theme on Beyoncé’s latest effort, which led many to speculate if Jigga ever cheated on her and who the other woman or women might be.

The married couple has previously collaborated on a slew of tracks, including “’03 Bonnie & Clyde,” “Crazy in Love,” and “Upgrade U.”
