Ever look down at your $1,600 Tag Heuer smartwatch and think, “Gosh, this really could use $195,400 of diamonds on it?” Apparently someone at Tag Heuer did, because at this year’s Salon International de la Haute Horlogerie Genève watch show (also known as SIHH 2018), the company announced the Tag Heuer Connected Full Diamond, a name that is as unsubtle as the 589 diamonds that stud the entire watch, spotted by Droid Life.

Despite the flashy adornment, the Tag Heuer Connected Full Diamond is otherwise identical to the Tag Heuer Connected Modular 45 smartwatch the company launched last year, although at a price of 190,000 Swiss Francs (roughly $197,000), the Full Diamond model is the most expensive Android Wear watch ever made. Although it does make the otherwise incredibly expensive $1,600 price tag on the regular Connected Modular 45 look like a downright bargain in comparison.

So, what exactly does your $197,000 get you? A case and bracelet made out of 18K polished white gold, and a total of 23.35 carats of baguette diamonds (78 on the bezel, 16 on the lugs, and 495 on the bracelet, in case you were curious.) That’s $334 per diamond. Remember when Apple released the $17,000 solid-gold Apple Watch Edition? You could buy 11 of those and still have money left over for the price of one Connected Full Diamond.

The rest of the watch is basically a standard Android Wear 2.0 device: AMOLED screen, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, NFC, GPS, and an Intel Atom Z34XX processor that will all be completely obsolete in around two years. Tag Heuer has said that it’ll be offering the same trade-in program that will let you swap in a mechanical movement for the electronic one once it becomes outdated, so you’ll at least be able to get some mileage out of your $197,000 diamond-covered smartwatch, even after the processor and battery have aged to near uselessness.

But if you happen to be a wealthy billionaire or heir to a throne reading this post and are set on your purchase, then the only advice I can offer would be to match your new Tag Heuer Connected Full Diamond with the only accessory that makes sense: a pair of $100,000 diamond-covered headphones.
