The House Judiciary Committee will be investigating what its chair, Rep. Jerry Nadler, believes to be Donald Trump’s “very clear” obstruction of justice, and “will be issuing document requests to over 60 different people.” That makes extremist Republican Rep. Jim Jordan angry, and apparently when Jordan gets angry, he lets fly with the anti-Semitic slurs.
Jordan tweeted “C’mon @RepJerryNadler—at least pretend to be serious about fact finding. Nadler feeling the heat big time. Jumps to Tom $teyer’s conclusion—impeaching our President—before first document request. What a Kangaroo court.”
Did you catch that dollar sign Jordan inserted in the name of a Jewish billionaire? It’s a classic anti-Semitic trope in itself, and it comes while linking Steyer to Nadler, a Jewish member of Congress.
Jordan’s working on a real three-strikes-and-you’re-out situation here. He’s got the anti-Semitism; the laughable insistence that Nadler is not serious about fact-finding in response to the news that Nadler is issuing document requests to 60 people (60!); and of course the Republican hypocrisy—and his own personal hypocrisy—on the subject of investigations after his own Benghazi antics.
Also, shut up, Gym Jordan: You enabled the sexual abuse of college athletes under your care and you haven’t taken responsibility for that, so again I say, just shut up.
Nadler responded “To be clear, this tweet counts both as inane AND anti-Semitic.”
