Son Bunyola Estate

The Son Bunyola Estate, a marvelous property on the beautiful Spanish island of Mallorca, has been sold by Richard Branson almost 13 years ago, but a couple of months ago it returned to its rightful owner once again and now it’s even ready to welcome its first guests.

Located between the Balearic villages of Esporles and Banyalbufar, this incredible estate has two charming villas on site, called Sa Punta De S’Aguila and Sa Terra Rotja, both of them officially included right now in Sir Richard Branson’s collection of award-winning luxury hotels and retreats.

The Son Bunyola Estate covers over 700 acres of land, with the Tramuntana mountain range in the background and gorgeous views of the Mediterranean making sure all jaws will be dropped once visitors arrive here. Sure, the vines, citrus fruit trees, or the almond and olive trees are equally beautiful, but such scenery can only be enjoyed here.

Richard Branson’s guests may also appreciate the private heated pool, the nearby tennis court or simply a stroll by the sea but let’s just focus on those two villas, shall we?

First, Sa Punta de S’Aguila, or ‘Eagle’s Point’, is a charming five-bedroom villa built in traditional Mallorcan style. Featuring exposed beam ceilings and terracotta tiled floors, this is where privacy and comfort meet with the most amazing panoramic views. With its own heated swimming pool, a modern kitchen, living room and dining area, this villa will allow 10 adults to enjoy life within 5 en-suite bedrooms.

Sa Terra Rotja on the other hand, or ‘Red Earth’ if we try to translate that to English, is a private four-bedroom villa nestled near the edge of the estate. A short walk from a pebble beach, this villa boasts its own heated swimming pool as well and wonderful social areas, such as a cozy terrace for sunbathing, outdoor dining and watching the sun set. Which one is it going to be?
