Meditation in schools? Because the evidence strongly suggests meditation works in a number of ways. Better concentration, increased confidence, increased self esteem, faster recovery from physical illnesses, encourages neuroplasticity in the neocortex (that's brain growth in the areas of the brain responsible for creative holistic thinking and the positive emotions such as empathy). Most importantly it puts children in touch with their most natural condition, which is free, expressive, cooperative, loving and peaceful; beyond the ideas they are conditioned with from a young age which engineer division and competition. Meditation is one of the most valuable things a child can be encouraged in think. Our world desperately needs this. Much more so than competitive, economically driven automatons, as the Evidence has shown us that those kinds of human beings are progressively killing the planet.Grow up, completely different. One promotes healthy inner consciousness the other promotes a dogma based on rules and control which restricts certain people from taking part. Wake up and enjoy people embracing reality
