"You Cannot Create Experience, You Must Undergo It."

We're often trying to find shortcuts for learning new skills, making things, and getting everything done, but writer Albert Camus reminds us that none of those activities are a substitute for experience.

Today marks what would have been Camus' 100th birthday, and the above quote is just as solid today as when it was written. We tend to learn best by doing things for ourselves and often failing at them. If you're avoiding any of those jobs for fear you can't or because you're evading failure, you're not getting the education you really need.
