In a different world, David Lynch might have directed the video for Kanye West's "Blood on the Leaves". Speaking to the Daily Beast, the Eraserhead director said he was in preliminary talks with 'Ye, but that he couldn't make it work.

"I didn’t come up with any ideas that I thought he would like," Lynch said. "Kanye came up to the house one day. Kanye’s a good guy, and a great musician. I loved the song, and that’s what brought us together, but I couldn’t come up with ideas that thrilled either one of us." He also said, "I feel I let him down a little bit."

Lynch also said why "Blood on the Leaves" is one of his favorite songs: "He’s just ridin’ the wave and not takin’ no for an answer." (Interested in music writing? Call us, David!)
