It’s been a very long time coming, but the folks at Kickstarter have finally brought an official application to the Google Play Store. An official app to manage everyone’s crowdfunding needs is something that arguably should have launched a long time ago, but nevertheless, it’s finally here.

With the new Kickstarter app for Android, you can discover and pledge to projects, get important updates on projects you’ve backed, and even connect with your friends to see what they’ve backed. There are a ton of categories to browse, so finding new and interesting projects is pretty easy. For those who just want to browse around the service, this app is great. But if you happen to be a Kickstarter project creator, you unfortunately won’t be able to manage your projects through the app. This feature is reportedly slated to roll out in a future update.
