Tiny house dwellers usually have to make some sacrifices, like giving up a cozy Saturday morning in front of a fireplace or a Sunday night bathtub soak. But not in the "Urban Craftsman." This small abode was built by Handcrafted Movement in a craftsman style and manages to squeeze more style into 290-square-feet than most homes do in 10 times the space.
The charming details inside this abode remind us of what you might find in a historic home — we're talking navy blue wall paneling and herringbone floors. There's even a five-foot-tall freestanding tub you can use for showers or relaxing baths. But what we love most about this house is that it features a few amenities that we've never seen in any other tiny home (and that's saying something).
For starters, there's a teeny single-person "breakfast bar" curved into the butcher block countertop a.k.a. the perfect spot to drink a cup of coffee as your partner whips up some eggs in the morning. And then there's the working fireplace that's nestled into the corner under the TV. However, this home wasn't a quick build: The process of milling, fitting, sanding, staining and waxing the hardwood floors took 80 hours alone. Worth it? You bet.
