Bobbi Brown knows a thing or two about how to enhance your eyes. The makeup artists' 8th book focuses on how to create standout eyes—incuding choosing the perfect eyewear, of which she has also debuted her own range of reading glasses and frames as well as sunglasses. Here are the top tricks we learned from Bobbi Brown's new Everything Eyes book:

Choosing the perfect pair of glasses—prescription or sunnies—should take your face shape and skin color into account. That's why her new line include a range of round, heart, oval and square-shapes, plus a full various tones, i.e. nude, neutral, tonal and contrast (aka black) to play up your complexion, too.

Match your makeup to the color of your glasses. If you have fair skin and wearing a nude or blush frame, add a dusty rose hue on eyes, lips and cheeks. The pale pink color gives a totally natural glow for paler tones. For darker complexions wearing neutral or tonal frames, try highlighting each feature in a bronze shade to add warmth (and either way, using one color all over is so easy).

When wearing black rimmed glasses, try stark liquid liner along upper lash lines and a few coats of mascara. Because instead of eyes getting lost behind the large frames, they pop, plus the frame's black outline won't overpower your features.

Make sure your eyes are in the center of lenses and frames follow the line of your brows. That's how you can be sure that the size and shape of your glasses is in the right proportion to your face.

And instead of going for frames that match your face shape, go for the opposite. Because it's a contrast that is going to be the most flattering. Have a square face? Try oval glasses. Have a rounder face? Opt for heart shaped frames.
