Despite being photographed seemingly en route to LAX airport to travel for Valentine's Day, Selena Gomez and Justin Bieber actually remained in Los Angeles—and were photographed together Saturday and Sunday at Laguna Beach. Fans caught Bieber and Gomez on Saturday and Sunday at the beach.

Laguna Beach is roughly an hour and a half's drive away from Studio City, where Gomez bought a house in July 2017—so no need for plane travel. The LAX excursion, which was caught by the paparazzi and covered by multiple outlets, may have been a fake out designed to buy the couple some privacy or them actually en route to Laguna Beach.

On Sunday, the two separated. Bieber was filmed at church, attending a baptism in the late afternoon:

Gomez, who was formerly a star on the Disney Channel, was spotted at Disneyland, where she posed with several fans. Bieber did not appear to be amidst the large squad accompanying her:

Gomez's time in Los Angeles with Bieber is limited. As a face of Coach, Gomez is expected to be at the brand's fall/winter fashion show on the 13. She's attended the brand's previous two shows:

It's unclear whether Bieber would join her in New York City so they can spend Wednesday, Valentine's Day, together—or if the weekend in Laguna Beach was their early celebration.

Gomez and Bieber were spotted out four times together last week: Wednesday at church where they tried to be sneaky-ish, Thursday attending the Rex Orange County concert (and later making out in the street), Saturday, "en route to LAX"/at Laguna Beach, and Sunday at Laguna Beach.

While the two have not spoken much about their relationship since getting back together in the fall, Gomez did explain to Billboard in November why she let Bieber back in her life. "I’m 25. I’m not 18, or 19, or 20," she said. "I cherish people who have really impacted my life. So maybe before, it could have been forcing something that wasn't right. But that doesn't mean caring for someone ever goes away."
