At first glance this small-framed lady does not look like she would be able to finish a large salad, let alone a massive bowl of noodles.

But don’t be fooled by her appearance.

Not only does she manage to consume a whopping 3.9kg (8.5lbs)  bowl of instant chow mein, but she does it in record time of three minutes 20 seconds.

The video, which was uploaded by YouTube star and eating contest regular Kinoshita Yuka, shows the petite Ms Kinoshita polishing off the enormous serving of noodles with barely a hint of hesitation.

The film, which is narrated entirely in Japanese was uploaded in March and currently has more than 630,000 views.

Ms Kinoshita, who takes part in Japan's Big Eater Challenges, kicks off her noodle feat by opening a large number of packs of instant yakisoba noodles and decanting them into her giant red bowl.

The video fast forwards to show the creation of a noodle mountain, which she separates with chopsticks as she goes along.

She then seasons her noodles with packets of what seems to be soy sauce, before mixing it thoroughly.

Then packets of what appear to be mayonnaise are also poured on the bowl of noodles.

The entire thing is so heavy that the petite champion eater struggles to  lift it onto the weighing scales.

The meal, which weighs 3.9kgs is now ready to be consumed.

The tiny eater lifts up her chopsticks and starts slurping down the soba, narrating as she eats.

Shovelling in the noodles, she only pauses to take sips of water, before resuming her crazy chow mein challenge.

The mound of noodles slowly disappears as Ms Kinoshita continues to eat, alternating noodles with more sips of water.

She doesn’t seem to be fazed by the size of her challenge and stoically slurps more and more of the strands.

At the halfway point creates a makeshift pedestal out of polystyrene boxes on which she balanbces the the giant bowl, making it easier for her to reach her food.

She also adds more mayonnaise to the noodles and continues eating.

The strangely hypnotic video continues in this vein for at least another minute, with Ms Konoshita forging ahead and not once seeming to give up on her quest for the noodle eating crown.

Towards the end of the challenge, she lifts the bowl up and slurps the last few strands of noodles, before turning it towards the camera to show how well she’s done.

Success! The empty red-bottomed bowl is clean of both noodles and condiments, and Ms Kinoshita seems no worse for wear.

Her Youtube fans have expressed disbelief at the feat with user Nasser M saying: ‘OMG, how did you eat all that! Impressive haha!’

Another user, Kono Kono, referencing Ms Kinoshita’s petite frame wrote:’ Your metabolism must be crazy.’

Ms Kinoshita is no stranger to eating challenges, having previously packed in 62 burgers in seven minutes, three pounds of steak in five minutes and 200 pieces of sushi in eight minutes.
