Pseudomonas aeruginosa - germ negative - Commonly found in environment - Found in 10% people flora of colon ( normally ) Produces 2 pigments : - Pyocanin : blue color - Pyoverdin ( flourescein) : a yellow green • Pathogenesis: - Endotoxin: sepsis and septic shock - Exotoxins : tissues necrosis , inhibits eukaryotic protein synthesis. - Enzymes: ( ex. Elastase and proteases ) - Pyocyanin : damage cilia and mucosal cells of respiratory tract .
