Since Instagram started in 2010, people have been meeting up to share photos and videos, and to connect with their local communities through creative means. As the community has grown – 150 million monthly active users around the world, with 40 million photos posted daily – so too has the occurrence of InstaMeets. To date 12,799 Instagrammers have met in 1,717 cities.
