It's the first weekend in February: January, a month that seems to last forever, is finally over, and what better way to celebrate than shopping the best deals on Amazon? The massive online retailer has key deals on its seemingly bottomless bag of products every day, and those discounts sometimes get really juicy on the weekend. We use product expertise and price tracking tools to make sure our deal picks are actually worth getting excited about. Here are our favorites from Amazon this weekend.

1. A robot vacuum with voice control

The eufy RoboVac 30C is on sale

eufy's RoboVac 30C has dropped to 239.99 before, but right now through February 4th when you buy the eufy RoboVac 30C—which is WiFi and Alexa-compatible—you can get a free eufy Genie, which is the company's version of a smart speaker (like the Amazon Echo or Echo Dot). If you've been thinking of picking up a top-rated robot vacuum anyway, this is a great way to sweeten the pot a bit. The included eufy Genie allows you to use voice commands to tell your new subservient cleaning bot when and where to clean, so you literally don't have to lift a finger. It also works as a traditional smart speaker, so you can still use all of the usual Alexa functions like playing music, controller smart home devices, checking the weather, and so on.

2. A full surround sound system

This Polk Audio surround system is discounted

I just tested a bunch of great soundbars, so seeing the Polk Audio MagniFi Max on sale made my heart skip a beat. The company's Signa S2 and MagniFi Mini are some of my favorites from the couple dozen soundbars I've tested, and the Max is like a souped up version. You're getting the usual 2.1 channel bar and subwoofer combo, which already mean audio clarity and bass presence that's way beyond what your TV speakers can do. The Max gives you even more, adding two "satellite" speakers to complete the immersive surround sound experience.

3. A mega-valuable 55-inch 4K TV

The 2017 TCL S Series is on sale

You're cutting it a little close if you're trying to pick up a soundbar or a new TV this close to the Super Bowl, but right now is a great time to find major discounts. This TCL 4K smart TV is a couple years old, but it rocked our socks during lab testing, and it's still up to speed with the latest advances in TV technology, like using a built-in Roku function and giving you 4K resolution. It's pretty majorly discounted in the 55-inch size, which is a pretty massive screen and is definitely big enough to appreciate your newly acquired 8 million pixels. Maybe you won't be able to get it in time for this Sunday's big game, but next year? You're all set.

4. Tax software: just get it over with

TurboTax and H&R Block are on sale

It's February 2nd, and I know what you're thinking: how many anxious 24 hour cycles are left until I'm forced to do my taxes on April 15th this year? Well, I have a hot tip for you: just go ahead and get it over with. I finished my taxes a couple days ago, and it feels great to just be done with them (I used TurboTax, and it was basically painless). When we put TurboTax, H&R Block, and Tax Act to the test last year, we found that TurboTax's software was the easiest to use, making it our top choice. You can use TurboTax for free, but if you've got multiple income streams, have moved, added dependents, or done something else to complicate your tax situation since 2017, it might be worth picking up one of the paid versions of TurboTax while they're on sale.

5. An impulse buy french press

Get a french press for $12

We've tested a bunch of great french presses, and let me tell you one thing: the last thing you want to do with a new or "fancy" way of making coffee is invest a hundred or so dollars into a product that you end up not enjoying. While I'd say adamant french press fans should just check out our best-tested models, this one from Clever Chef is available on Amazon for only $12.99 this weekend. It has hundreds of reviews and an almost 5-star rating, so it's definitely serviceable, and at that price you aren't going to be filled with buyer's remorse if you discover you're not so keen on pressin' beans.
