By now, most of the world has learned of the Apple security fail that resulted in nude photos from various stars' iClouds being published online. Celebrities like Emma Watson, numerous media outlets, and some of the famous victims themselves have spoken out against the hackers as well as the Internet trolls commenting on the photos, and now a cancer foundation is taking a stand after being dragged into the mess.

The Prostrate Cancer Foundation released a statement yesterday announcing that it is returning all the money raised from a crude prank posted on website Reddit. The post reportedly called for Reddit users who had viewed the nude photos of Jennifer Lawrence to donate to the charity in her "honor," inaccurately and distastefully saying that the actress has supported fighting the disease "in the past," since masturbation may help prevent prostate cancer.

A post appeared on Reddit late Monday afternoon, September 1, 2014. A Reddit user directed other Reddit users to make a donation to the Prostate Cancer Foundation without the Foundation's knowledge. We would never condone raising funds for cancer research in this manner. Out of respect for everyone involved and in keeping with our own standards, we are returning all donations that resulted from this post.

According to Gawker, nearly $6000 was raised before being shut down by the foundation. Needless to say, the whole thing is a sick joke and it's a shame that it comes at the expense of the charity, not to mention Lawrence.
