Will Cyber Monday deals be better than Black Friday? That’s the big question now Black Friday 2018 is only days away. The good news, if you plan to shop at Target, is the store’s massive 47-page Black Friday ad scan drops a lot of hints. Here’s what you need to know.
This is the third in my Cyber Monday 2018 preview series, following my Walmart Cyber Monday and Best Buy Cyber Monday previews. Working alongside sales specialists BestBlackFriday.com. I will preview all the major stores, including Amazon (Black Friday ad here), Kohl’s (Black Friday Ad here) as well as guides to Apple savings and Samsung’s big deals.
So how do we predict Target’s Cyber Monday 2018 deals? By analysing the retailer’s historical Cyber Monday sales patterns and applying this to its Black Friday 2018 ad scan. Last year, for example, these were Target’s best Cyber Monday deals:
- 15% off sitewide - review last year’s deal
- Save an additional 5% with the Target REDcard - review last year’s deal
- Samsung 50-inch 4K UHD Smart TV for $479.99 (save $270) - review last year’s deal
- PlayStation VR Gran Turismo Sport Bundle for $299.99 (save $100) - review last year’s deal
- iRobot Roomba 860 Robotic Vacuum for $349.99 (save $150) - review last year’s deal
- VIZIO D-series 50-inch Class Ultra HD 120Hz Full-Array LED Smart TV for $449.99 (save $50) - review last year’s deal
- Apple Watch Series 3 (GPS + Cellular) for $399.99 - review last year’s deal
- Nintendo Switch bundle for $299.99 - review last year’s deal
What are the big takeaways for Target’s Cyber Monday 2018?
The headliner is Target’s tendency to run additional store-wide Cyber Monday discounts across all items (yes, including sales items).
The 15% discount last year plus a further 5% with the Target REDcard meant many Target Black Friday deals were even cheaper on Cyber Monday. Target also repeated a lot of its largest Black Friday deals, which means you’re likely to get another (cheaper) bite of the cherry.
Here are the deals I believe you will see again at Target’s Cyber Monday 2018 sale:
- 15% off sitewide on Cyber Monday
- Save an additional 5% with the Target REDcard - see details here
- Samsung 50-inch Smart UHD TV for $329.99 (save $120) - See Black Friday 2018 Deal
- PlayStation VR Bundle for $249.99 (save $100) - See Black Friday 2018 Deal
- iRobot Roomba 890 Robotic Vacuum for $349.99 (save $150) - See Black Friday 2018 Deal
- Vizio 50-inch Smart 4K Ultra HD TV for $299.99 - See Black Friday 2018 Deal
- Apple Watch Series 3 38mm (GPS + Cellular) for $299.99 (save $80) - See Black Friday 2018 Deal
- Nintendo Switch Mario Kart 8 Deluxe bundle for $299.99 - See Black Friday 2018 Deal
With a further discount, the Samsung 50-incher could be one of the best deals this holiday season and the Apple Watch savings look set to be the best you’ll find anywhere. That said, go to Kohl’s for the best games console prices while Walmart may have the only PlayStation 4 Pro deal this year.
When it comes to TVs, Best has the biggest range of sales and for smartphones, look no further than Walmart. Its iPhone and Galaxy discounts are unbeatable.
