The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge have gone from the world of film to South Wales. After attending the BAFTAs 2020 at the Royal Albert Hall on Sunday night, the couple boarded a lifeboat in Swansea Bay on 4 February to chat to crew members manning the 24-hour rescue service. Bundling up against the windy weather, Kate wore a long navy Hobbs “Bianca” coat with a red dress, black slouchy boots and a heart-printed Beulah scarf. The Duchess carried a pillarbox red Mulberry clutch and added Asprey’s Woodland Oak Leaf Hoop earrings into the mix. On several occasions, the Duchess has accentuated her choice of outfit with an item from high-street brand Hobbs.

The royal couple is due to visit the Tata Steel plant at Port Talbot, to meet with employees and gain an insight into the goings on at its training academy. Kate and William are also scheduled to stop by the Bulldogs Development Centre, which provides a place in which young people can learn to box and keep fit, and gain both a sense of belonging and improved mental health.

On 2 February, Kate and William were guests of honour at this year’s BAFTAs. For the ceremony, Kate dipped into her extensive collection of Alexander McQueen, opting for an ethereal white tulle gown with diaphanous gold speckled overlay. The occasion marked Prince William’s 10-year anniversary as president of BAFTA.
