Trump Heavy Favorite To Win Florida: Election Odds Predict Georgia, Iowa, Ohio & Texas As Red As Swing State Results Come In

This article is more than 3 years old.

The polls are closed in the Sunshine State, and sportsbooks are calling Florida in favor of Donald Trump after early returns sees him taking a small lead.

Having found himself at +120 odds to take the state, Trump is now listed at -300 (bet $300 to win $100). Joe Biden fell from -162 to +300 in the same timeframe.

The early vote was looking all blue, despite Trump having won the state by more than 100,000 votes in 2016. But the republican turnout and recent Florida election results are forcing sportsbooks to start shading the state red.

Odds adjustments in key battleground states now favor Donald Trump to take Florida, Georgia, Iowa, Ohio and Texas.

The same odds are siding with a Biden victory in Arizona, Minnesota, New Hampshire, North Carolina, Pennsylvania and Wisconsin.

While these odds suggest that both Biden and Trump walk away with six states each, if correct, these red states would total 107 electoral votes compared to the 92 votes seen in those blue states.
