Adele is bit of an unsung hero when it comes to hair (no pun intended!). She's always been up for making a hair statement. You only have to think back to 2008 and that volume packed auburn look. It's clear Adele's hair choices were heavily influenced by the 60s at this point. There was sky high volume at the grown of her head, an enviably thick and glossy fringe and as we moved through to 2011 that 60s flavour only got more pronounced, with beautiful voluminous waves and Dusty Springfield-esque styles.

Flash forward to 2016 and things start to get a little edgier. Adele's hair colour has lightened up to a dark blonde at this point, with lighter highlights strategically placed to frame her face to stunning effect. Thouse bouncy Hollywood waves have been more or less kicked to the kerb in favour of lightly tousled kinks, and the length of Adele's hair as been cut to a shoulder length bob. Adele's Brit Awards appearance in 2016 in particular left everyone floored. Her new modern hairstyle was blow-dried to perfection and swept over in a subtle side parting - it proved the perfect pairing to her smouldering smoky eye, graphic liner and Merlot red lip.

Adele didn't stop there. In 2017 she attended the 59th Grammy Awards and debuted an incredible new up do. Really, that thing was a work of art. Her hair was immaculately swirled into a mid-height bun, with a few glossy, loose tendrils set free to frame her face.

Adele's Latest SNL Appearance And Her New Long Hair

Now here we are in 2020 and Adele is showcasing yet more eye-popping hair transformations. Those curls for example! When Adele took to Instagram to praise Beyoncé for her latest release, all anyone could talk about was her long, curly hair. It was full, wild and near Carrie Bradshaw-esque in its style. Whether the look came by way of a tong, a perm or a good dose of scrunching, everyone wanted a piece. And then there's the look she chose for her Saturday Night Live stint. Honestly, this woman can do no wrong when it comes to hair. Have we piqued your craving for some hair related nostalgia? Get scrolling below:

It's easy to forget the colour transformation that Adele's hair has undergone, never mind the styles. We love this glossy auburn shade seen here at 2008's Brit Awards. Remember when Adele was all about that low bun taken slightly to the side and a deep side part?

2016: Tousled Waves

We can see a few changes in Adele's hair look here at the 58th Grammy Awards in 2016. First of there's the colour, her hair has been lightened up towards the ends and through the sections that frame her face, it's a style many copied at the time. The volume in her do has been taken down a notch and tousled waves as opposed to large, glossy, Hollywood ones are the order of the day.

2020: The Curls

This next shot comes via Adele's Instagram page (follow here @adele). This shot appeared in praise of Beyoncé's latest release, but all we could look at were those curls. It remains to be seen whether they came by way of a tong, a perm or a bit of scrunching but we're all for it - and look how long Adele's hair has gotten too!
