Autumn's favourite hair colour is cinnamon – and it's universally flattering
Meghan Markle was recently spotted sporting the shade
One of the main things we love about autumn is the opportunity to change up both our wardrobes and our hair colour.
Yes, while we're making the great switch from sundresses to woolly hats and coats, we're also looking for ways to add a touch of autumnal colour to our hair, which makes this year's trend of cinnamon highlights all the more exciting.
From Meghan Markle showcasing the look in one of her recent Zoom calls, to actress Zoey Deutsch showing off her perfectly glossy copper bob for the past year, we've never wanted to copy a hair colour more. And it's easy enough to achieve.
Simply head into the salon and ask for your balayage colour to be cinnamon (a big trend for this season). Stuck on what colour you should be asking for? It's intuitive, says colourist Ryan Trygstad, telling Refinery29: 'You have cinnamon in your cupboard, so it's easy to visualise that warm golden-brown colour... You can keep any light strands, like your post-summer ombré or blonde balayage, then blend red-bronze tones throughout. The result is a full-bodied shade that's warm, dimensional, and reflective'.
Don't fancy a trip to the salon? Josh Wood Colour has just brought out a brand new at-home Caramel Gloss, branding it ideal 'for adding golden, sun-kissed hues into brunette hair, making it the perfect Autumn hair colour!' That means you can try out the colour without the commitment.
Still not convinced? Have a look at these celebs rocking the trend, as well as our favourite cinnamon hair looks on Instagram...
