Kenney Signs Transgender, Non-Binary Protection Law

The law protects rights of transgender and non-binary Philadelphians and provides accessible gender-neutral bathrooms in public buildings.

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) – Mayor Jim Kenney signed a bill into law Thursday morning that protects the rights of trans and non-binary Philadelphians. The legislation was sponsored by Councilmember Helen Gym.

It requires youth organizations to implement policies that protect young people who are transgender.
