Bad Bunny is ending 2020 on a high note. The reggaeton star's latest album, El Ultimo Tour del Mundo, just made history.

Yesterday, Billboard confirmed that not only had the Puerto Rican rapper earned his first number one album on the Billboard 200, but his latest studio feat also became the first Spanish-language album to score the top spot on the all-genre chart in its 64-year existence. The previous highest-charting Spanish-language album also belongs to Bad Bunny. YHLQMDLG peaked at the number two spot on the chart back in March of this year, reported Billboard.

Bad Bunny's Billboard success isn't the only major achievement he's accomplished recently. Just last week, the rapper was named Spotify's most-streamed artist of 2020 after accumulating a massive 8.3 billion music streams on the app. Spotify's co-head of music, Jeremy Erlich, broke the news to the musician via a video chat and shared the celebratory moment for fans to see.

"Thank you, I don't know what to say," said Bad Bunny after learning the good news during the For the Record podcast. "I do music because it's my passion, so I'm so happy right now. I'm so grateful and proud right now."

In addition to releasing three projects in the last year alone, Bad Bunny worked alongside a stellar lineup of fellow musicians, including J. Balvin, Dua Lipa, and Jennifer Lopez. Plus, he earned two American Music Awards and a Latin Grammy, and scored a pair of Grammy nominations: Best Latin Pop or Urban Album and Best Pop Duo/Group Performance. Keep an eye out January 30, 2021, to see if he banks his first win there.
