Odysse launches Vader, India’s First Electric Motorcycle that gets a 7-inch Android Display

Odysse Electric Vehicles has launched the Vader, India’s first electric bike that features a 7-inch instrument cluster with Android Display and Google Map navigation. Moreover, the vehicle offers a whopping 18-liter of storage space with the maximum number of color options in the segment, namely, Midnight Blue, Fiery Red, Glossy Black, Venom Green, and Misty Grey.
The bike is powered by a 3.7 kWh lithium-ion battery that in turn powers a 3 kW electric motor to produce 170 Nm of torque and 6 bhp. The battery is good for 125 km of range on a single charge, and it takes 4 hours to get fully charged.
Smart safety features like Smart BMS with CAN communication, Auto Cut-off, and User Alert, 4 Temperature Sensor Cells, Thermal Pads, a Pressure Release Valve, Terminal Break fuse are available as standard. In addition, the Odysse Vader also features a Smart controller with CAN communication, Live Tracking, Immobilization, Geo-fencing, Money and Co2 Savings, and Low battery alert.

Speaking on the occasion of the launch, Nemin Vora, CEO, Odysse Electric Vehicles Pvt. Ltd said, “Our goal is to provide sustainable and affordable mobility that can be accessible to everyone. The first step towards achieving this goal is creating an affordable product that everybody can operate.” Prices for the Odysse Vader start from Rs 1,09,999 (ex-showroom, Ahmedabad).
The Odyssey Vader also boasts a practical design. Aside from the 7-inch instrument cluster, the bike also features 18 liters of storage space. Other standard features available with the electric bike include LED lighting and regenerative braking.
“We have an exciting new product line-up planned for 2023, along with the FAME-II approved High-Speed motorbike VADER. We plan to launch an electric scooter in the third quarter of 2023. We also intend to increase our dealership network to over 150 by the end of the year, and we anticipate that this initiative will increase our sales by at least 300%”, Mr. Vora added.
Bookings for the Odysse Vader have commenced, both online and at the company’s dealership network of 68 outlets, and the booking amount is Rs 999. The bike is available with a 3 years warranty on the battery, and a 3 years warranty on the Powertrain.
