Courteney Cox’s Mother-Daughter Dance-Off Will Remind You Of Something

Courteney Cox and her daughter, Coco Arquette, clearly have a beautiful mother-daughter relationship. Just last year, the pair gave us all another good reason to hold onto our dresses for decades. The actor shared side-by-side photos of herself and of her then 14-year-old daughter wearing the same slip dress with patterned overlay, 21 years apart. “‘I’m not one to hold onto things but this was a damn good purchase,” Cox wrote in June. “21 years later…”

In their latest social-media moment, Cox was persuaded to join her daughter in a short music video-inspired clip for TikTok. The star shared the footage of the pair dancing on Instagram with the caption: “Wanna see your child lose their patience? Do a TikTok with them #familyaerobics.” Coco’s frustration aside, the video will have brought back fond memories for Friends fans.

Their moves are not dissimilar to the now-iconic routine created by Cox’s character Monica Geller and her brother Ross in the hit TV show. Remember “The One With The Routine”, which first aired in 1999? It sees the siblings resurrect a dance they devised back in high school, in the hope that their performance will attract the attention of the cameras at a televised New Year’s Eve party. Cox’s latest moves may not be exactly like those she delivered with her on-screen brother back in the day, but plenty of people (she has some 6.6million Instagram followers) are still tuning into watch.
